The Severin Sea Lodge Mombasa is one of few eco-lodges in Mombasa. Situated on the beautiful Bamburi beach on Mombasa’s North Coast, the lodge has detached cottages which are designed like African huts with thatched roofs. Its newer rooms are in the main building. In keeping with its green mission, it gets its supplies from its own organic farm.

The Mombasa Beach Hotel has twin advantages. It is minutes away from Mombasa’s Old Town but, with huge beautifully landscaped grounds, it is a nice sanctuary as well. It is an older hotel and this shows in the slightly outdated décor. However, it has a lively atmosphere and is more popular with African guests than the other beach hotels. Many of its guests are weekenders from Nairobi.
